Masters Swimming
The Masters Team in Basingstoke Bluefins Swimming Club are arguably the most successful group of Masters Swimmers from a small club and is widely regarded as one of the top performing swimming clubs Nationally.
Our squad caters to swimmers of various levels and ambitions, from 'swum as kid’ returners for fitness to success swimming the channel and competitive swimmers up to National Champions within various masters age groups.
Basingstoke Bluefins Masters love their kit! We pay close attention to our branding, it does seem that looking smart and on point is just as important as the racing results!
If you’re looking for a strong swimming community with competitive opportunities in the Hampshire area Bluefins is a standout choice. The club is based in Basingstoke and operates from the Aquadrome in a 25m, 6 lane, 1.8 depth throughout configuration.

Many of our swimmers also train together in various public lane sessions throughout the week including long course pools.

Hampshire County Championship 2024
Over 30 Bluefins Masters swam at the Hampshire County Champs at Portsmouth, Mountbatten Centre.
Another brilliant result for the team, winning Top Club and crowned County Champions. We have previously been Hampshire's Top Team at the County Championships from 2010 - 2017 and 2019 - 2024.
We had swimmers from our squad that had never raced before all the way through to those that compete regularly. It was a huge team effort by everyone that swam. For the first time in 2024 we invited our very own Sharks disability squad 18+ members to race with us and we saw so many PBs, some outstanding racing but more importantly everyone had a great afternoon, supporting each other and having the best time.

South East County Championships
Hampshire County Masters Team were National Champions in 2023. In 2024 we had 11 Basingstoke Bluefins representing the Hampshire County Masters Team, narrowly winning the South East Championships at the London Aquatic Centre and coming 3rd overall Nationally.
